Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite and involves working in the home care setting, where you will engage directly with patients in their residences. You will be equipped with all necessary tools and resources to provide effective therapy within the comfort of patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the needs and goals of each patient, drawing on your clinical expertise.
• Conduct detailed assessments to determine the severity of physical limitations and adjust treatment protocols accordingly.
• Utilize hands-on therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation to enhance recovery.
• Monitor patients' progress effectively and maintain open communication with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment updates and any concerns that arise.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing health outside of therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and conditions related to musculoskeletal issues. You will be instrumental in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence after experiencing significant physical challenges.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in physical therapy, specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with patients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking in patient management.

Preferred Experience

Though not mandatory, additional certifications in orthopedic physical therapy or specialized training in manual therapy techniques are highly desirable. Experience related to home health therapy is also a plus, as it enhances your ability to deliver effective care in varied patient environments.

Compensation and Benefits
