This position is fully remote, providing you the flexibility to work from home while being part of a vibrant and supportive team. Our mental health counselors collaborate closely with various healthcare professionals, including doctors, nutritionists, and physical therapists, to deliver comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance with no on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ emotional and psychological states, specifically focusing on issues related to obesity and binge eating.

• Utilize standardized assessment tools to diagnose mental health concerns and recommend appropriate treatment options.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions designed to address the emotional and behavioral aspects of eating disorders.
\n
• Develop and implement personalized treatment programs that reflect each patient’s goals and preferences, fostering a supportive and engaging therapeutic environment.

• Educate patients about the psychological dimensions of weight management, including self-esteem, body image, and effective coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing to promote positive behavioral changes.

• Leverage EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) software to maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and patient interactions.

• Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing patient evaluations and feedback to enhance care quality.

• Engage in continuous professional development through relevant workshops and conferences to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by actively participating in team meetings and case discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals coping with obesity and binge eating disorders, addressing their unique psychological and emotional challenges. This role provides an opportunity to support patients in understanding and overcoming the emotional barriers that contribute to their struggles with weight management.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.

• Must possess an unrestricted Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of Washington.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required for close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.

Compensation and Benefits\n
