This remote role focuses on providing specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, ensuring that they receive the support and intervention necessary to promote healing and resilience. Work Environment\n

This position allows for a remote work setting, providing the flexibility to manage your schedule while ensuring patients receive consistent and quality mental health care. You will predominantly work Monday through Friday, with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, some flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of patients. The ability to provide remote therapy serves to enhance access and convenience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and empowerment, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health care.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during therapy sessions.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, establish coping mechanisms, and foster resilience.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of our patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring swift and effective care.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to enhance their support network.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a secure patient record-keeping process.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings regularly to discuss patient progress and gather insights on trauma-informed best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapy outcomes and integrate new knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be primarily on individuals who have experienced varying degrees of trauma. Many of these individuals may be suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, or other trauma-related disorders, requiring a high level of sensitivity and understanding. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, ideally with a focus on trauma.
\n
• Deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders as well as trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches.
\n
• Proven experience providing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while delivering exemplary care.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.
\n
• Capacity to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
