Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations by interviewing clients, gathering personal history, and assessing behavioral and emotional challenges.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting the approach as necessary to meet the evolving needs of clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, making adjustments to plans as indicated by client feedback and clinical observations.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Provide essential follow-up for clients admitted to hospitals, coordinating care and ensuring continuity of support.
\n
• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges effectively.
\n
• Implement strategies to identify and mitigate behaviors that may impede the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills along with a supportive and understanding demeanor.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Experience with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, is highly desirable.
\n
• A background in treating clients with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.
\n
• Knowledge of addiction treatment methodologies and familiarity with the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health.
\n
