Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their rehabilitation needs, accurately documenting initial evaluations and creating dynamic treatment plans that facilitate recovery.
• Direct and oversee physical therapy services provided by assistants and other healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with established protocols.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and assistive techniques tailored to each client's capabilities to relieve pain, enhance mobility, and restore functional outcomes.
• Regularly evaluate the progress of patients, modifying treatment plans as necessary to align with their current conditions and needs, while consulting with medical professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
• Engage in education and training for clients and their families regarding therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and the effective use of medical equipment to enhance compliance and independence.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in line with legal and ethical standards, facilitating seamless communication with the healthcare team.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights on patient progress and care strategies to optimize outcomes.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professional development by participating in continuous education opportunities and remaining current on therapeutic techniques and advancements in physical therapy.
• Use specialized tools and methods such as manual muscle testing and functional mobility assessments to evaluate patient progress.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory agency requirements, maintaining a commitment to uphold the highest standards in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from those recovering from orthopedic surgeries to individuals with neurological conditions, sporting injuries, and chronic pain situations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy role, ideally in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
• Current and valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
