Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement tailored treatment programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring each patient's specific needs are met.
• Utilize evidence-based practices when providing therapy, adapting treatment methods as needed to ensure the best outcomes.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and effective communication, facilitating a positive patient experience and contributing to overall clinic effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and discussions on treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapeutic care to patients, applying various procedures and techniques to improve physical condition and function as outlined in the physician's plan of care.
• Consult, educate, and train patients and their caregivers, fostering self-management and awareness in recovery processes.
• Work towards meeting minimum utilization goals and contribute to the achievement of business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Med Fit, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric patients, and athletes requiring sports medicine rehabilitation. Your ability to connect with patients of various demographics will be pivotal in ensuring their recovery journey is successful and fulfilling.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid State License for Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
• A strong desire to build meaningful connections with patients, facilitating their journey to achieve functional goals.
• Ability to foster relationships within the community to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation setting.
• Proficiency in specific therapeutic modalities, such as dry needling, laser therapy, or aquatic therapy, is a plus.
• Experience with adolescent and aging populations and a passion for community outreach initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits
