Role Description UFG is seeking a driven, tech-savvy, and strategic Business Development Associate to lead growth initiatives within our Sales Department. This role is ideal for a candidate who combines relationship-building skills with modern sales technology, CRM systems, AI tools, and lead generation platforms to drive measurable business growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in service-based industries such as: Facilities Management Janitorial Services Landscaping Construction Electrical HVAC Property Management Staffing or Recruiting We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, professional, and eager to help expand UFG’s presence throughout the Bay Area, Monterey, Sacramento, and surrounding regions. While candidates with 3–4 years of intermediate-level sales or business development experience are preferred, UFG is also willing to train the right individual who demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn modern sales systems and technology. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Santa Clara, California. Business Development & Sales Strategy Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational growth goals Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, and market research Build and maintain long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients Lead contract negotiations and oversee proposal development to secure new business opportunities Participate in client walkthroughs, presentations, QBRs, and monthly meetings Participate in leadership meetings, trainings, and strategic planning initiatives Utilize CRM systems such as Pipedrive, Aircall, and lead sourcing platforms to manage pipelines, track activity, and monitor sales performance Leverage AI tools and modern sales technologies to create professional sales decks, presentations, proposals, outreach campaigns, and marketing materials Maintain accurate sales forecasting, KPI tracking, reporting, and pipeline management Research prospective clients using lead sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or similar tools Collaborate with marketing teams to support lead generation, branding, outbound campaigns, SEO efforts, and business growth initiatives Manage and coordinate outbound sales outreach efforts, including telemarketing campaigns and digital prospecting Coordinate with operations and leadership teams to ensure smooth onboarding and successful service delivery Assist with the development of promotional materials, presentations, and strategic growth campaigns Industry & Market Awareness Monitor industry trends, client needs, and competitive activity to proactively adjust business development strategies Identify opportunities to expand services, strengthen partnerships, and improve client retention Skills & Qualifications 3–4 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or related roles preferred Experience within facilities management, property management, janitorial, construction, commercial services, or related industries is highly desirable Strong proficiency with CRM systems and sales technologies, or the ability to quickly learn new systems Tech-savvy with experience using AI tools for presentations, sales outreach, and proposal creation Familiarity with lead sourcing and prospecting platforms Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills Excellent presentation and interpersonal abilities Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to analyze sales performance metrics and drive KPI-focused results Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills Customer-focused mindset with the ability to professionally resolve client concerns Additional Requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to drive to client accounts in Bay Area, Monterey and Sacramento area Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize effectively, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Proficiency in communicating effectively with clients and resolving concerns or complaints Ability to work in-office in Santa Clara, CA and occasionally other regional offices Education Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience required #J-18808-Ljbffr
