Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based physical therapy practices and modalities.
• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at rehabilitating injuries and disabilities, providing treatments such as modality application, strengthening exercises, and functional mobility training.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, home exercises, and preventive strategies to enhance recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and address complex health issues.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, including contributing ideas for program development and marketing strategies to enhance service delivery and patient outreach.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, aides, and interns to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Engage in continuous education and professional development activities to remain current with industry best practices and emerging trends in physical therapy.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safe operation of physical therapy equipment and respond appropriately to any patient emergencies or changes in condition.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Heal and Revive, you will work with a diverse patient population, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals. This variety requires you to adapt your therapeutic techniques and communication approaches based on the unique needs and goals of each demographic, emphasizing our commitment to providing individualized, culturally responsive care.

Qualifications

• A current Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory; a Master's or DPT degree is highly favored.
