Work Environment

This position is based onsite, allowing for hands-on interaction with patients within our well-equipped outpatient clinic and home care settings. Our facility is designed to create an encouraging atmosphere where patients can feel comfortable and supported throughout their therapy sessions. You'll experience a fulfilling workweek from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, providing structured yet flexible support for your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care, developing tailored treatment plans that cater to each person's specific rehabilitation goals and physical conditions.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes, ensuring consistent communication throughout their therapy journey.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities and exercises that promote healing and restoration of function, employing both manual therapy techniques and specialized exercise regimens.
• Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions that enhance their recovery trajectory.
• Employ evidence-based practices to ensure that treatment interventions remain current and effective, incorporating research-supported methodologies.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to create a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR software, including Web PT, to ensure compliance and efficiency in tracking progress.
• Motivate patients through their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive and encouraging environment that promotes adherence to treatment plans.
• Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy techniques to constantly improve treatment delivery and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including sports-related issues, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. By focusing on restoring functional movement, increasing strength, and enhancing overall physical performance, our physical therapist plays a critical role in helping patients return to everyday activities, work, and sports.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, free from any disciplinary actions or sanctions.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic care practices gained from previous clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong knowledge of various treatment modalities and manual therapy techniques relevant to outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective exercise programs tailored to the unique needs and goals of individual patients.
• Proficiency in Utilizing EMR systems, such as Web PT, to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
• An understanding of the latest research and advancements in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting with a focus on rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with sports medicine practices and techniques.
• Prior experience in home care settings is a plus, as it will contribute to your versatility in patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
