Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their needs and determine suitable therapy goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs and improvement.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on treatment protocols and the proper use of any recommended assistive devices to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive health management.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in physical therapy by attending workshops, participating in continuing education, and accessing professional publications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including children and adults suffering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain conditions. Our approach emphasizes patient-centered care, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention and a holistic treatment experience designed to lead them back to optimal function.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software.
• Adaptability and flexibility to respond to various patient needs and work with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is desirable but not mandatory.

• A background in working with a home care setting is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
