Experienced Physical Therapist for Orthopedic Sports Rehabilitation

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at the Skeletal Orthopedic Sports Rehab Clinic in Arlington, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, restoring mobility and enhancing quality of life. The Skeletal Orthopedic Sports Rehab Clinic is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility focused on providing exceptional care primarily for orthopedic outpatient cases. Our clinic spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology. Work Environment

Your work will take place onsite at our Arlington facility, where you will engage with patients directly and utilize cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment in a warm and collaborative atmosphere. Our team consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all working together to provide personalized care and monitor patient progress efficiently. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a consistent schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize the goals and needs of each patient, ensuring individualized care plans that track progress effectively.
• Manage a patient load optimized at one individual per hour to provide focused treatment and maximize the quality of care.
• Utilize a range of treatment modalities and manual therapy techniques to develop and implement customized rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients on strategies to minimize reliance on medications and guide them through non-surgical treatment options.
• Design tailored fitness and wellness programs aimed at enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) software, including WebPT, to document therapy sessions, facilitate patient management, and record treatment outcomes.
• Evaluate and monitor treatment effects, ensuring open communication with patients regarding their progress and adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle, serving as a motivational resource for patients striving for optimal performance and recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient care services and treatment outcomes to comply with legal and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients who have private medical insurance, allowing you to tailor treatment programs that cater to their unique needs. You will engage with a diverse clientele, from athletes recovering from injuries to individuals seeking relief from chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your compassionate approach and strong communication skills will be essential in fostering trust and encouraging patient adherence to rehabilitation protocols.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, free from any disciplinary actions or restrictions.
• Possess exceptional manual therapy skills and familiarity with evidence-based treatment interventions.
• Proficient in designing effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs and recovery goals.
• Experience using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
