Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, documenting clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health thoroughly.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse range of individuals, couples, families, and groups based on individual assessment results.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, growth, and resilience among clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Assist clients in managing referrals to external resources, including community programs and specialty services.
\n
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers involved in clients' treatment processes.

• Implement evidence-based practices and remain current with developments in the mental health field to offer the most effective interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve at Life Well Counseling Center come from diverse backgrounds and present with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, relationship conflicts, and more. Your role will be critical in fostering a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and pursue their mental health goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health theories and clinical practices with a proven track record of providing individual and group therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a clinical mental health counseling setting, with an emphasis on telehealth delivery.

• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate documentation and enhance client care.

• Experience working with clients facing both emotional health challenges and underlying physical health conditions or addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the standards and best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A comprehensive understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Life Well Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
