Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of students and families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental strengths alongside challenges related to their diagnoses, treatment plans, and life situations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based social work interventions aimed at enhancing the emotional and behavioral health of students.

• Facilitate discharge planning for students transitioning from crisis to stability, involving key stakeholders such as educators, healthcare providers, and family members to ensure comprehensive support.

• Provide crisis intervention and therapy, including brief and long-term individual and family counseling, to address urgent emotional needs.

• Educate students and their families on adapting to health challenges, helping them to build coping strategies for the long term.

• Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support, ensuring continuous care and attention for crises that may emerge outside of regular hours.

• Present at educational conferences as a subject matter expert in psychosocial practices, showcasing research and practices that support mental health within the school environment.

• Engage with the community through educational outreach, research initiatives, and volunteer services aimed at promoting mental health resources for students and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on school-age children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. You will work closely with students grappling with the pressures of academic life, social interaction, and personal development, aiming to provide tools and techniques to help them thrive within their educational environments.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and hold a valid LCSW license in the State of New York.

• Demonstrated experience in clinical social work, especially within educational or similar settings.

• Proficient in utilizing virtual communication tools and electronic health records.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
