Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexible work hours and the opportunity to engage with clients from various geographic locations. You will join a collaborative virtual team of mental health professionals, sharing insights and support to enhance client care while utilizing secure teletherapy platforms for consultations and therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct secure and confidential teletherapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families, ensuring a high standard of care and maintaining client privacy.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to identify clients' relational dynamics and mental health concerns, developing personalized treatment plans with measurable goals that reflect each client's unique circumstances.
• Apply family systems theory and systemic interventions to strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, and address stressors that affect relationships.
• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention to clients and families as required, ensuring their safety and well-being is prioritized.
• Maintain accurate electronic client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with all legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
• Educate clients on strategies for effective communication, conflict resolution, and coping mechanisms that can enhance their relationships and overall well-being.
• Collaborate regularly with your virtual colleagues to ensure comprehensive care and best practices are employed across the board.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in marriage and family therapy, engaging in ongoing professional development to continuously improve your skills and care delivery methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will support a diverse array of clients, ranging from individuals facing personal struggles to families dealing with relational issues. The primary focus will be on improving interpersonal relationships and fostering emotional stability. You will engage with clients who come from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, affording you the opportunity to apply culturally competent therapeutic practices.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Oregon or the respective state where you will practice.
• A Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• At least two years of professional experience in marriage and family therapy is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital for effective remote therapy delivery.
• A commitment to ethical practices and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all client interactions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate clients across various time zones is necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering remote therapy services is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms, including video conferencing and electronic health record systems.
• Prior experience working with diverse client populations and familiarity with multicultural issues in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
