Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to accurately diagnose sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions, designing personalized rehabilitation plans that cater to each individual.
• Collaborate closely with a team of orthopedic specialists and rehab therapists to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring integrated treatment strategies.
• Utilize advanced modalities and therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and strength and conditioning training, to enhance recovery processes.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and their families about injury management, performance enhancement strategies, and long-term wellness, fostering a proactive approach to health.
• Document and track patient progress meticulously using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, adjusting treatment plans as needed to respond to each patient's evolving needs.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and performance improvement projects within the sports health sector, promoting awareness, prevention, and injury management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on athletes and physically active individuals seeking rehabilitation following an injury or surgery. You will work with various patient demographics, including both professional athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts, providing a customized approach to their rehabilitation that emphasizes recovery and performance enhancement.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Florida PT license is mandatory, or eligibility for licensure prior to your starting date.
• You should possess at least two years of direct experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy.
• Certification such as SCS (Sports Certified Specialist) is preferable, or a strong desire to obtain this certification.
• Exemplary communication skills and a strong commitment to patient-centered care are essential.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification from an accredited provider, such as the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• Your expertise in manual therapy techniques, rehabilitation science, and ergonomic assessment will greatly enhance your contributions.
• Demonstrated history of implementing injury prevention programs and performance enhancement strategies in a clinical setting will be advantageous.
• A track record of successfully managing a diverse patient load, while effectively prioritizing and addressing multiple client needs.
