Work Environment

This role is based onsite within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Cape Coral, Florida. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, allowing for a consistent routine that enables you to engage deeply with your patients. Our facility is equipped with the latest treatment technologies, providing an ideal setting for effective rehabilitation practices. You will collaborate closely with a team of skilled professionals in a supportive atmosphere that encourages continuous learning and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and address patients' individual rehabilitation goals and requirements, tailoring treatment interventions accordingly.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring quality attention and care for each client.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to design comprehensive care plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques.
• Provide evidence-based treatments, including manual therapy and exercise programs, to enhance patients' mobility and functional abilities.
• Utilize EMR software, such as WebPT, for maintaining accurate patient records and tracking treatment outcomes.
• Motivate and educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, promoting strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to each patient's care.
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with patients regarding their progress and treatment updates.
• Document all patient care services and interventions thoroughly as part of compliance and continuous improvement efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, many of whom come to us seeking relief from pain, improved mobility, and enhanced overall physical function. You will work with a diverse range of conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management, fostering a rehabilitative environment that empowers patients to take an active role in their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctoral degree (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with no prior disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Experience utilizing EMR systems effectively, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, preferably with a focus on diverse populations.
• Familiarity with best practices in evidence-based rehabilitation and a commitment to professional growth and development.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team, enhancing the overall effectiveness of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
