Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and initial consultations to gather pertinent information about clients’ histories.

• Develop detailed and personalized treatment plans based on individual, family, and group needs, incorporating therapeutic modalities that are effective for diverse populations.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the varying needs of our clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress and continuously assess the effectiveness of treatment interventions, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to create integrated treatment strategies.

• Provide valuable follow-up care for clients who may have been hospitalized, ensuring a smooth transition back into outpatient treatment.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and recovery pathways to encourage active involvement in care.

• Emphasize prevention strategies that can mitigate setbacks in recovery, promoting a proactive approach to mental health management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a broad range of clients—adults, adolescents, couples, and families—who experience various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction-related disorders. Your expertise will make a vital difference in their lives, guiding them through recovery pathways that focus on resilience and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with substantial clinical insight and practice.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to streamline client management and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Background in addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health issues, as well as addiction-related challenges.

• Understanding and application of best practices as defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of pharmacological interventions, including the effects and uses of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers.

• Demonstrated exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to foster supportive and therapeutic relationships with clients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

As a valued member of the Forest View Psychotherapy Center, you will receive a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually.
