Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, providing flexibility to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. However, when necessary, you will engage directly with students, families, and educational staff within school environments. A regular schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend hours to address client needs. Your presence will be vital in supporting students during critical transitions, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary for success.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ psychosocial needs, specifically focusing on factors that affect their emotional, mental, and social development.

• Collaborate with students, families, and educators to develop tailored care and intervention plans that align with educational goals and personal aspirations.

• Provide individual counseling sessions to students, helping them deal with academic stress, family issues, and other personal challenges with compassion and expertise.

• Advocate for students’ rights and access to relevant school and community resources, ensuring they receive necessary support, services, and referrals.

• Work in partnership with interdisciplinary teams, including educators, counselors, and healthcare professionals, to coordinate effective interventions that enhance each student’s educational experience.

• Facilitate regular visits and check-ins with students, assessing their overall progress and addressing any ongoing concerns or safety issues.

• Support conflict resolution among families and educational staff, promoting a collaborative approach to care.
\n
• Educate families about community resources, mental health support groups, and engagement programs to foster a supportive network.
\n
• Maintain precise and updated documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring all client interactions and progress notes are logged in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Stay informed about new developments in social work practices and educational policies to ensure the highest levels of care and compliance with ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves students from diverse backgrounds within a school setting. You will work closely with children and adolescents experiencing various developmental, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Your objective will be to provide support, empower students, and enhance their capacity to thrive in academic and social environments.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a social work capacity, preferably within educational or community settings.

• In-depth understanding of social work principles, child development, and issues affecting the student population.

• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.

• Demonstrated ability to empathize with and establish rapport with children, families, and educators.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Self Harmony Counseling offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
