Work Environment

This role is an onsite position where you will primarily provide care in the natural setting of our patients' homes. You will enjoy a supportive work atmosphere, free from the high-paced demands of a clinical hospital environment, allowing you to focus on building lasting relationships with each patient. This position requires travel within the Clearwater area, fostering community engagement and a personalized touch in therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' conditions and medical histories to design and implement effective treatment plans that comply with physician directives.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and treatments to enhance mobility and restore function, working closely with both patients and their families to ensure comprehensive support.
• Use state-of-the-art methods and tools to provide skilled care, including manual therapy, modalities, and exercise therapy, tailored specifically to each patient's needs.
• Document progress and adapt treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises and techniques, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and how to perform therapeutic activities effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes and contribute to a cohesive care plan.
• Achieve utilization goals and engagement metrics to support organizational objectives and enhance overall service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will encompass a wide range of patient demographics, allowing you to work with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, pediatric needs, and sports injuries. By focusing on personalized, home-based therapy, you will play a critical role in empowering patients to achieve their functional goals in familiar environments.

Qualifications

• A graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and current Florida state licensure to practice as a physical therapist.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in computer systems and EHR software.
• Ability to build strong rapport with patients, fostering a supportive and encouraging therapeutic relationship.
• A proactive attitude toward community involvement and patient engagement.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in physical therapy, especially in a home care or outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a commitment to staying updated on the latest innovations in physical therapy.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, highlighting versatility in treating various conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and performance. Alongside a robust compensation package, our benefits include:
