North West Physiotherapy is searching for a dedicated and innovative Full-Time Staff Physical Therapist to join our team in Estero, Florida. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating and treating patients to enhance their physical abilities and overall well-being. Work Environment

The position is onsite at our outpatient office in Estero, a vibrant community in Southwest Florida recognized for its warm climate and outdoor recreational opportunities. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, seeing an average of two patients per hour. This full-time role allows ample time for thorough patient engagement while fostering a supportive and collaborative work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of patients within 24 hours of receiving physician referrals, ensuring timely and comprehensive assessments that guide treatment plans.
• Draft detailed and effective treatment plans that not only outline therapy goals but also obtain the necessary approvals from referring physicians.
• Provide hands-on treatment in accordance with doctors' orders, addressing orthopedic issues through various modalities such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education.
• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they align with state regulations and the best practices in patient care.
• Regularly update and maintain patient documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports, in compliance with PT Board and payer guidelines.
• Facilitate discharge planning by preparing patients and their families or caregivers for a successful transition from therapy services, including recommending necessary durable medical equipment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, offering insights and updates on patient progress to optimize care strategies.
• Deliver in-service training to facility staff on various physical therapy topics, enhancing the team's overall skill set and knowledge base.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Your role will significantly impact their rehabilitation journey by providing tailored interventions to regain mobility and improve functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical outpatient setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, including familiarity with exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and sports injury rehabilitation.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage a diverse caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
