Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions both in-home and through telehealth, focusing on the specific needs of children and their caregivers.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions targeting anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development to mitigate high-risk behaviors.

• Facilitate decision-making skills in both children and caregivers, aiding them in developing effective strategies to address behavioral issues.

• Maintain thorough documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring all records comply with state regulations and agency standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including the Child Family Treatment Team and other allied health professionals, to enhance client treatment plans.

• Engage actively in team meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on case assessments and observational data.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with primarily consist of children aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental delays and intellectual disabilities. Our approach is family-centric, focusing on empowering caregivers with the necessary tools to foster healthy developmental environments at home. The therapeutic interventions you provide will directly contribute to the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of these children.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.

• A valid and unrestricted LMFT license is required to practice in the state.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

• Proficiency in English is essential; bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish or Portuguese will have an advantage.

• Completion of a comprehensive background check is required prior to employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required to commute for in-home therapy sessions when needed.
