Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments to understand client needs, concerns, and treatment goals.

• Document comprehensive case notes from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring all information is accurate and timely.
\n
• Create customized intervention and recovery plans, utilizing evidence-based strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting your approach based on the unique dynamics and needs of the participants.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress throughout treatment and make necessary adjustments to their plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to develop comprehensive care plans for clients.
\n
• Assist in the management of client referrals, coordinating with other services as needed to ensure holistic care.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, helping them navigate challenges and understand mental health barriers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California is a must.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor is essential, reflecting a strong foundation in counseling methodologies and client interaction.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for managing client documentation and treatment plans.

• Familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders and dual diagnosis clients.

• Deep understanding of the relationship between physical health and mental well-being, particularly regarding medication management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a sign-on bonus.
