Key Responsibilities\n

• Client Assessments: Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to determine appropriate intervention strategies.

• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans that align with best practices in psychotherapy and address the unique needs of each client.
\n
• Therapeutic Interventions: Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques to suit various client circumstances and group dynamics.
\n
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to therapeutic approaches as needed.
\n
• Collaborative Care: Work alongside other health professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses to ensure a cohesive care experience for clients.

• Referral Management: Manage client referrals to additional services or specialists, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive support.

• Family Support: Guide families and caregivers in understanding and managing behavioral health challenges associated with their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will encompass a diverse range of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions. You will also support families seeking guidance on managing mental health challenges within their homes. Your ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds will be integral to their recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with clients, family members, and colleagues.
\n
• Empathetic interpersonal skills demonstrating a genuine commitment to client well-being.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a focus on individual and family therapy.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR for documentation and reporting purposes.
\n
• Knowledge of addiction disorders and their underlying physical and emotional health conditions.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the operational guidelines for mental health services.
\n
• Understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects on clients, as prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with the possibility of a sign-on bonus.
