Work Environment

Your role will be performed onsite, collaborating closely with a team of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a structured and manageable schedule tailored around patient needs and therapeutic goals. The environment encourages teamwork and communication, ensuring that each patient's treatment plan is effectively executed and monitored.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess the objectives and needs of each patient through comprehensive evaluations.
• Manage a patient load of 2 individuals per hour, providing personalized attention and care.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic therapy to administer effective, evidence-based treatment methods.
• Formulate and implement tailored treatment plans, selecting from a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Design and oversee customized fitness and wellness programs that cater to the specific requirements of each patient.
• Encourage patient engagement by fostering motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Promote health and wellness by improving patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and overall coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, ensuring comprehensive management of patient health.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and regularly document all patient interactions and services rendered.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals with orthopedic concerns, including post-surgical rehabilitation and various musculoskeletal injuries. Patients typically have private medical insurance, allowing for a thorough and personalized approach to treatment. You will work closely with patients to understand their unique needs and aspirations, adapting therapeutic strategies to encourage recovery and enhance their functional abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with no record of disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques is essential.
• Strong capabilities in designing and implementing exercise programs to enhance patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Experience in managing patient treatment programs effectively to maximize recovery potential.
• A proactive approach to patient engagement and education regarding self-management and wellness strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
