Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health histories and complete physical examinations for patients experiencing pain.
• Develop and execute individualized pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment plans for both chronic and acute pain conditions.
• Educate and counsel patients on pain management strategies, including medication management, lifestyle changes, and compliance with therapeutic regimens.
• Manage ongoing care for patients with chronic pain, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and adjusting measures based on patient feedback and outcomes.
• Prescribe medications in alignment with treatment strategies after checking the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) for safety.
• Engage in consultations with physicians and other specialists to devise the most effective treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Utilize strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities to accurately identify pain sources and implement suitable interventions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in a range of pain management procedures, such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and the use of pain pumps.
• Foster excellent communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure an understanding of treatment plans and patient values.

Patient Population / Client Focus
