Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing pain, utilizing advanced diagnostic and treatment skills to formulate effective care plans.
• Deliver personalized treatment, which may include administering medications, injections, and therapeutic modalities, ensuring best practices and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with case managers to develop and implement discharge plans, prioritizing safe transitions for patients to overcome pain challenges.
• Engage with physicians and specialists for referrals, providing consultative support for patients requiring hospitalization while adhering to established hospital protocols.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with insurance requirements, including timely management of appeals for any claims denials.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may involve on-call responsibilities during weekends and holidays, to ensure comprehensive patient care is delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pain Management Physician Assistant at Riverside Family Physicians, you will primarily work with diverse patient populations dealing with various chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to osteoarthritis, back pain, neuropathic pain, and more. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of an active Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in pain management or a related specialty.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
