Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical evaluations and patient assessments, accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients suffering from acute and chronic pain, utilizing non-narcotic medications and physical therapy prescriptions.
• Order necessary imaging studies, interpreting results to make informed clinical decisions.
• Schedule and manage interventional procedures, ensuring all required pre-procedure assessments are completed.
• Provide patient education regarding pain management strategies and promote adherence to treatment protocols to maximize outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction and care delivery processes.
• Ensure compliance with all medical protocols, regulations, and best practices within the Pain Management department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse group of patients experiencing various types of pain, including chronic back pain, joint pain, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. You will engage with patients of different age groups, requiring cultural competence and sensitivity to address unique needs effectively. Your empathetic approach and expertise will be instrumental in fostering trust and improving patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required.
• Current active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York is essential.
• A Master's degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
• Proven proficiency in conducting comprehensive physical examinations and diagnosing medical conditions.
• Demonstrated ability in prescribing treatment options in a collaborative and patient-centered manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective partnerships with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in Pain Management or a related specialty.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
