This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, catering to the modern needs of both clients and staff. At Wellpower, we acknowledge the importance of work-life balance and empower our mental health professionals to adapt their schedules to match their lifestyles, with working hours available from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week. Our outpatient office serves as a collaborative space for ongoing professional development and team-building, even for those who primarily work remotely.

Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will:

• Design and implement individualized therapy strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
\n
• Conduct thorough assessments, evaluations, and follow-up sessions to monitor client progress.
\n
• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and families, aiming to instill hope and facilitate constructive change.
\n
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for all clients.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, in compliance with legal and ethical standards, to support treatment decisions and client progress tracking.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and training to stay current with mental health research and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice focuses on serving a diverse client base, including adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clients may experience anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, relationship issues, or trauma-related symptoms. Therefore, the ability to establish rapport with individuals from different backgrounds and walks of life is crucial for success in this role.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.

• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, ideally within an outpatient or community setting.
\n
• A strong understanding of legal, ethical, and professional standards within the field of mental health counseling.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to forge strong therapeutic alliances with clients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for documentation, scheduling, and client management.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with a specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse treatment will be highly regarded.
