Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote work environment, allowing counselors to adapt their schedules to meet both professional responsibilities and personal needs. Our clinic operates from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, accommodating a variety of client schedules. Within this supportive framework, counselors have access to resources and administrative support, ensuring they can focus on providing exceptional care rather than being bogged down by scheduling or client service issues.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to ascertain patients' trauma histories and needs.
\n
• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and facilitating trauma recovery.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual client needs.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions that guide patients in processing trauma, developing relevant coping strategies, and promoting healing.
\n
• Collaborating seamlessly with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated patient care.
\n
• Delivering crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies while providing support and reassurance to affected patients.
\n
• Educating patients and families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources.
\n
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards.

• Engaging in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Staying current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse patient population, primarily comprised of individuals facing trauma-related challenges. Our clinicians are equipped with the training and resources necessary to treat a broad spectrum of disorders, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders, among others. Emphasizing a strong collaborative partnership, we ensure that each patient feels heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations and to manage crisis scenarios effectively.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be preferred:
