This full-time position allows for a mix of telehealth and face-to-face sessions tailored to meet the needs of our clients in Aurora, Illinois. Work Environment\n

This role offers flexibility through a remote work setting, allowing for an ideal balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. While you will primarily work from home, our outpatient office in Aurora serves as a hub for occasional in-person sessions and team collaborations. We are open seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm to accommodate our clients' needs and support our therapists' schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, challenges, and treatment needs.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall mental wellness.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing their trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at equipping clients with effective coping strategies and promoting emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources to support their journey to recovery.
\n
• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation adhering to the highest legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.
\n
• Keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele comprises individuals and families dealing with the effects of trauma, requiring sensitive and effective therapeutic interventions. We welcome behavioral health generalists who are open to working with couples and willing to undergo training in specific therapeutic modalities to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios and to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a counseling setting is preferred.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to maintain timely and organized clinical documentation, with a commitment to completing notes within 24 hours.

Compensation and Benefits\n
