Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of patients, integrating data from various sources such as physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and their families.
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that incorporate patient-specific goals and objectives, reflecting ongoing assessment and modifications as necessary.
• Utilizing and maintaining professional-specific equipment while ensuring patient safety and understanding its usage.
• Documenting all patient interactions comprehensively, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
• Providing patient and family education tailored to the recovery process, ensuring they fully understand treatment protocols and expected outcomes.
• Maintaining punctual and consistent attendance, while adhering to standards set forth by the relevant health authorities and state practice regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on patients battling various orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of treatment approaches that cater to individuals at different stages of recovery, allowing for a personalized touch in your therapeutic interactions.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• A current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida, or a temporary permit is acceptable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or valid equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits
