Business Development Manager The Business Development Manger serves as a key member of theNeurodiversity Center for Excellence (NCE) at Curry College and isresponsible for driving revenue growth, expanding strategicpartnerships, and advancing the Center's external engagementefforts. This position leads business development initiatives forthe Center's portfolio of professional development programs,executive functioning offerings, consultations, sponsored projects,workforce initiatives, and customized training solutions. Workingunder the direction of the Executive Director, the BusinessDevelopment Manager identifies, develops, and manages relationshipswith corporate, nonprofit, educational, healthcare, government, andcommunity partners. The Business Development Manager manages thefull sales cycle, from prospect identification and outreach throughproposal development, contract negotiation, and account management.This role works collaboratively with Center leadership, facultyexperts, and operational staff to develop tailored solutions thataddress client needs while advancing the mission and strategicgoals of the Neurodiversity Center for Excellence. The idealcandidate will have experience in business development,consultative sales, account management, partnership development, ora related field, with demonstrated success generating revenue,cultivating long-term partnerships, and managing complexstakeholder relationships. Essential Functions 1. Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth through the sale of Neurodiversity Centerprograms and services, including professional development,executive functioning offerings, consultations, sponsored projects,and customized initiatives. Manage the full sales cycle from prospect identification andoutreach through proposal development, negotiation, and contractexecution. Meet or exceed annual revenue and partnership targets alignedwith Center and institutional goals. Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and strategicpartners. 2. Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain a portfolio of institutional, corporate,nonprofit, and community partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for managed accounts,ensuring partner satisfaction and long-term relationshipgrowth. Identify opportunities for partnership expansion, renewals, andmulti-year engagements. Develop strategies to increase partner retention and revenuegrowth. 3. Market Development and Outreach Develop targeted outreach strategies for higher education,K-12, workforce development, healthcare, nonprofit, and corporateaudiences. Represent the Neurodiversity Center for Excellence atconferences, meetings, networking events, site visits, andpresentations. Conduct market research and identify emerging partnershipopportunities. Collaborate with Center leadership to refine value propositionsand go-to-market strategies. 4. Consultative Selling and SolutionDesign: Engage prospective partners in needs-based conversations tounderstand organizational priorities, challenges, and goals. Translate Center offerings into customized solutions alignedwith client objectives, timelines, and budgets. Partner with Center staff, faculty, and subject matter expertsto develop proposals, scopes of work, and service agreements. Support contract development and partnership negotiations. 5. Internal Collaboration andReporting: Collaborate with Center leadership, faculty experts, andoperations staff to ensure successful delivery of programs andservices. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipelinedevelopment, forecasting, and revenue generation. Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to informprogram development, pricing, and strategic planning. Prepare reports and presentations related to businessdevelopment performance and partnership outcomes. Additional Functions: Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation,professional protocols, and individual privacy. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or theirdesignee. Consultative and Solution-Oriented Selling Engages prospective partners throughthoughtful discovery and needs assessment conversations.Effectively translates organizational challenges into customizedsolutions by aligning Neurodiversity Center programs, services, andexpertise with client objectives, timelines, and budgets. 4. Collaborative Leadership Works effectively across departments and stakeholder groups to supportbusiness development efforts and successful project implementation.Fosters collaboration, open communication, and sharedaccountability while maintaining strong relationships with internaland external partners. 5. Organizational Excellence Demonstratesstrong project management, organizational, and time-managementskills. Maintains accurate records, sales pipelines, forecasts,proposals, contracts, and partnership communications whileeffectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines. 6. Adaptability and Innovation Responds effectively to changing market conditions, client needs, andorganizational priorities. Approaches challenges with creativity,flexibility, and a growth mindset while continuously identifyingopportunities to enhance services, partnerships, and revenuegeneration. 7. Ethical and Mission-Driven Practice Acts with integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.Balances revenue generation with the mission, values, and reputation of Curry College and the Neurodiversity Center forExcellence while maintaining confidentiality and sound professionaljudgment. 8. Results-Oriented and Impact-Driven Demonstrates accountability for achieving measurable businessdevelopment goals, partnership outcomes, and revenue targets. Takesinitiative, embraces continuous improvement, and remains focused onexpanding the reach and impact of the Neurodiversity Center forExcellence. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred inBusiness Administration, Marketing, Communications, HigherEducation Administration, Organizational Leadership, PublicAdministration, Human Resources, Workforce Development, or arelated field. Five (5) or more years of professional experience in businessdevelopment, sales, account management, partnership development,workforce development, consulting, higher education outreach, or arelated field. Demonstrated success in generating revenue, cultivatingstrategic partnerships, and managing complex stakeholderrelationships. Experience managing a full sales cycle, including prospecting,relationship development, proposal creation, contract negotiation,and account management. Strong communication, presentation, networking, and negotiationskills with the ability to engage senior leaders, executives, HRprofessionals, administrators, and organizationaldecision-makers. Experience balancing revenue goals with long-term relationshipdevelopment and organizational mission. Strong organizational and analytical skills with experiencemanaging pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectivelyacross departments and stakeholder groups. Commitment to advancing the mission of the NeurodiversityCenter for Excellence and expanding access to innovative programsand services. Salary Range $60,000, plus 5% bonus on closed deals.
