Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop and maintain accurate and confidential patient records following the highest standards of practice and compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Conduct thorough assessments, evaluations, and counseling sessions for individual and group therapy, addressing a wide range of mental health and substance abuse issues.

• Implement therapeutic treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring that each patient’s unique needs are met through comprehensive support.

• Provide crisis intervention services, including drop-in counseling for students in distress, ensuring timely responses to mental health emergencies.

• Plan and facilitate mental health outreach programs, workshops, and activities aimed at promoting wellness among students and staff, while addressing mental health concerns in an educational setting.

• Engage in consultation services with faculty and staff, offering guidance on best practices for supporting students dealing with psychological challenges.

• Assist with the evaluation and follow-up of student support referrals through the Maxient system, maintaining up-to-date and complete records as necessary.

Your primary clientele will be diverse groups including students, faculty, and their families. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing the mental health needs of young adults, particularly in educational environments where stressors can significantly affect well-being and academic performance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is required.

• Valid licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is essential; candidates with an associate license will not be considered due to billing requirements with Medicare.

• Competency in computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, demonstrating strong time management and self-direction.

• Demonstrable experience in managing multiple cases effectively, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
