Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the specific trauma history and mental health needs of each patient.

• Develop, implement, and continuously update individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to help patients process their trauma and acquire healthy coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, guiding patients through immediate challenges as needed.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the various resources available to assist in their recovery.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development activities, team meetings, and case consultations focused on enhancing trauma-informed care capacities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes, but is not limited to, survivors of abuse, violence, and other traumatic events. Many patients will present with PTSD, complex trauma, and related disorders, necessitating a deep understanding of trauma-informed therapeutic approaches and strategies to promote resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and effective resilience-building strategies.

• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that facilitate patient healing.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on fostering a compassionate, non-judgmental therapeutic environment.

• Ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations, showcasing resilience in therapeutic practice.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with remote communication technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with a strong understanding of trauma therapy and a commitment to ongoing professional development are encouraged to apply. Experience in telehealth settings can be an asset as we leverage technology to enhance patient care.
