TDS Proteins Development Material Sciences Co-Op

Johnson & Johnson seeks a motivated co-op student to support analytical testing and method development within the Proteins Development Material Sciences group. The six-month role involves developing automated sample preparation methods for LC-MS analysis of cell culture and bioreactor samples, with hands-on experience in laboratory automation and analytical technique optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated sample preparation methods for LC-MS testing of cell culture and bioreactor samples
- Adapt manual sample preparation procedures to robotic platforms to increase testing capacity
- Perform manual sample preparation to support comparison and evaluation of automated workflows
- Support analytical method development, optimization, and implementation activities
- Conduct quantitative analyses and statistical evaluation of experimental results; maintain technical documentation
Requirements
- Completed undergraduate freshman year at accredited university
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Proficiency with basic laboratory equipment including pipettors and analytical balances
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to interpret experimental data
- Permanent U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship needed
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within team environment
