Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address symptoms effectively.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, informing them about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients, enhancing treatment effectiveness.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements regarding mood disorders, contributing to the continuous improvement of therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Eastern Valley Health Clinic, you will primarily support clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, making a significant impact on their lives and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
