Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health evaluations and maintain accurate documentation from initial consultations through to treatment conclusion.
\n
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and culturally competent.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, both individual and group, by employing various counseling techniques and methodologies to encourage exploration and growth.
\n
• Monitor and assess clients’ progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required to optimize recovery outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to enhance the overall treatment experience.

• Provide follow-up support for hospitalized clients, communicating effectively with attending physicians to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Work proactively to identify and mitigate any behaviors that could hinder clients’ recovery journeys.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, providing them with necessary tools and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve vary widely in their backgrounds and experiences. We cater to a diverse patient population including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your role will involve working closely with clients to help them navigate their unique challenges, thus improving their quality of life and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to connect empathetically with clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster a trustworthy and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in a telehealth setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health records systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.

• A deep understanding of common physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices from organizations such as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Awareness of the implications of medications prescribed by other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
