Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients’ emotional needs and craft personalized treatment plans that guide therapeutic progress.

• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to the particular challenges and goals of each client.

• Offer crisis intervention services to clients in distress, employing empathetic communication techniques to ensure safety and promote stability.

• Document treatment processes through electronic medical records (EMR) systems, collecting and maintaining accurate, confidential client records that comply with legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to create a holistic support network for clients.

• Stay informed and engage in continuous training to keep current with innovations in mental health practice, enhancing the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve range from diverse backgrounds, presenting with various emotional challenges such as anxiety disorders, depressive episodes, trauma histories, and interpersonal relationship issues. As a mental health counselor, you will engage clients with a person-centered approach, creating a safe and validating environment that fosters trust and facilitates communication.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting working with individuals facing emotional challenges is preferred.

• Demonstrated capability to provide high-quality counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually , commensurate with experience. Full-time counselors are also eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend, ensuring that you have access to the resources necessary to maintain your health and well-being. In addition, counselors receive free access to our therapy platform as clients, reinforcing our belief in the importance of self-care among our staff.
