Medina Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role allows you to provide specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, specifically focusing on the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This remote mental health therapist position allows for flexibility while still ensuring that you are part of a collaborative team. Your work schedule generally runs from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some adjustments may be needed based on patient requirements. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, reinforcing our commitment to integrated care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the unique needs of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate the healing process.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and foster overall emotional wellbeing.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective care for our patients.

• Collaborate with patients' families by educating them on trauma responses and effective coping strategies, enhancing the support network for our patients.

• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in professional development activities, including case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided to our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily support trauma survivors, including those coping with PTSD and various other trauma-related disorders. By focusing on trauma-informed care, you will help patients learn how to cope with their experiences, regain a sense of control in their lives, and promote emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R (LCSW-R) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing trauma-informed mental health care is preferred.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proven expertise in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach to patient care.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
