This role is primarily remote, allowing counselors the flexibility to work from home while also having options for in-office and hybrid arrangements for those who prefer direct client interactions in our Hempstead, New York outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans based on diagnostic criteria.

• Utilize the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of Mental Disorders to guide clinical interventions and treatment methodologies.

• Implement diverse counseling strategies and interventions for individuals, groups, or families, always demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.

• Engage in collaborative work as part of an interdisciplinary team, focusing on enhancing the interpersonal, intrapersonal, and relational functioning of clients.

• Utilize technology effectively, including telehealth platforms, to maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and provide seamless service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in mental health or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.

• Proven experience working with various age groups and understanding the unique perspectives and needs of children, adolescents, and adults.

• Ability to meet credentialing requirements in line with internal clinical standards.

• Residency within a commutable distance from our Hempstead office is preferred to facilitate occasional in-person interactions with clients and team members.

• Familiarity with proven counseling practices focused on human developmental principles and high-risk behaviors management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 91,000 to 104,000 annually, supplemented by performance-based bonuses.
