Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorders.
• Collaborate with clients to design tailored treatment plans that respect their unique goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide therapeutic sessions.
• Provide clients and their families with education regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care techniques.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical providers to provide integrated care.
• Stay informed about current research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance client care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population is diverse, ranging from children to adults, each seeking support in overcoming their mental health challenges. You will work closely with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics, offering compassionate and skilled guidance tailored to each client's needs. Your role is crucial in empowering clients to manage their mental health and navigate their journeys toward recovery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is a current LMFT license and a Master’s degree, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities, such as EMDR or Play Therapy, will be viewed favorably. Experience working with specific populations, such as adolescents or couples, is also a plus.
