Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and trauma histories, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.

• Create and implement tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and the development of resilience, actively engaging clients in their treatment process.

• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing their trauma.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, offering a supportive space for clients to share their experiences, learn coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating poise and competence in high-stress situations.

• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, alongside clarifying available resources within the community.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance and the security of patient information.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients primarily consist of individuals who have experienced trauma of varying types, including physical, emotional, and psychological distress. You will work closely with trauma survivors, focusing on their unique needs and backgrounds to create a supportive therapeutic alliance. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Demonstrable experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.

• Capacity to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in related computer applications.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience working specifically with trauma survivors is preferred. Candidates who have a track record of utilizing innovative approaches to therapy that prioritize the patient’s healing continue to raise the bar for the practice.
