Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist will include:

• Conducting thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments to determine patients' trauma histories and appropriate treatment strategies.

• Developing, implementing, and revising individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each client, with a focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma experiences and cultivate effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for shared patients.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support to clients in need.

• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Completing and maintaining accurate documentation of clinical notes and progress reports in alignment with ethical and legal guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve include adults experiencing trauma-related challenges, ranging from PTSD to complex trauma and dissociative experiences. Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Illinois.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and foundational principles of trauma-informed care.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• The ability to remain calm under pressure and to navigate high-stress situations effectively.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and a willingness to utilize technology in your practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and those who have specialized training in EMDR or similar methodologies will be highly regarded. Experience working within a multidisciplinary team setting is also advantageous.
