Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by reviewing medical histories, performing physical assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and proposed treatment plans to patients and their families, fostering collaborative goal-setting.
• Implement treatment protocols with proficiency, continuously adapting to each patient's evolving needs and the dynamic healthcare environment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated care approach, documenting any significant changes in patient conditions that may necessitate adjustments to their care plans.
• Manage discharge planning to facilitate a smooth transition back to daily activities, ensuring appropriate follow-up care is arranged.
• Maintain thorough and precise documentation of patient care activities, aligning with healthcare standards and regulations.
• Demonstrate effective time management to meet productivity goals while maintaining a punctual and organized schedule.
• Participate in departmental meetings and community outreach initiatives to promote physical therapy services and enhance public health awareness.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities, while mentoring students or less experienced colleagues as needed.
• Contribute to the department's strategic objectives and adhere to regulatory compliance to enhance patient experiences and care access.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will work primarily with outpatient clients dealing with a variety of conditions, including post-operative recovery, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, and sports-related injuries. Our focus is to foster independence through rehabilitation, improving strength, flexibility, and overall functional mobility. Our therapy programs emphasize individual patient goals, ensuring personalized care is at the forefront of our practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current state licensure for Physical Therapy in New Jersey is mandatory.
• Certification in CPR from the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers) is required.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional experience or specialized training in outpatient therapy settings will be prioritized.

Compensation and Benefits
