Work Environment

This role is based onsite, where you will provide home care services directly in the residences of your patients. Our team is committed to minimizing paperwork to allow for maximum time spent with our patients. You will work alongside supportive office staff and collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient screenings and evaluations to accurately assess the physical needs of pediatric patients.
• Administer individualized treatment plans that involve direct therapy, hands-on techniques, and physical exercises tailored to enhance mobility and physical function.
• Engage with families and caregivers, providing training and counseling on therapeutic exercises, progress tracking, and discharge planning to ensure effective support systems at home.
• Coordinate care with office support and interdisciplinary colleagues to align on treatment goals and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with established healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participate in consultations with referring physicians to discuss patient progress and necessary adjustment of treatment protocols.
• Restorative treatments aim to improve function, relieve pain, and prevent disability in patients.
• Utilize methodologies such as trigger point therapy techniques to boost treatment efficacy and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is on pediatric patients, which requires a unique set of skills and understanding of child development and rehabilitation practices. Working with a diverse range of conditions, from developmental delays to post-operative recovery, you will ensure that every child receives personalized therapy that aids in their developmental milestones and enhances their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Florida PT License.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology.
• Experience and capability to effectively assess and treat pediatric patients.
• Familiarity with current hospital medicine practices and an understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional experience in pediatric rehabilitation, specialty certifications, or a wealth of hands-on techniques will be advantageous in this role. Familiarity with community resources and services for pediatric patients is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
