Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Active Stride, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with patients to assess their physical conditions and symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunctions and crafting individualized treatment plans that address specific patient goals and limitations.
• Instructing patients on the proper use of therapeutic exercise techniques to promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Providing hands-on techniques such as stimulation and massage to facilitate healing and improve patient well-being.
• Assisting patients in the use of rehabilitative equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough patient records, tracking progress, and adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Counseling patients and their families regarding at-home treatment options and exercises to ensure continuity of care outside the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• A valid professional license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Proficient in computer systems for patient documentation and reporting, including word processing capabilities.
• A flexible, adaptable mindset to respond effectively to the dynamic needs of a therapy practice.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, preferred candidates should ideally have:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, which is a strong asset when working with our diverse patient populations.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
