Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma background and mental health needs while establishing a trusting therapeutic alliance.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on promoting trauma recovery and resilience, customizing therapies according to the unique needs of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing patients with a safe space to discuss their experiences, learn coping strategies, and foster interpersonal skills necessary for healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatric staff and other multidisciplinary professionals to deliver integrated and holistic care approaches, ensuring that all aspects of the patient's health are addressed.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, helping patients navigate acute distress situations effectively.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available for ongoing support beyond therapy.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation following legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring compliance in all aspects of patient care.

• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to share insights, strategies, and updates related to patients’ therapy progress.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Lakeview Behavioral Health, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma. This includes those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• A demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient and accurate documentation and communication.

• A commitment to working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on integrated patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.

• Experience in leading both individual and group therapy, demonstrating a strong capability in therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $90,000 and $110,000 annually.
