This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from a location that best suits you while still being part of a collaborative team. Our workweek runs from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for some flexible scheduling to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Turning Leaf, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and mental health status.

• Developing evidence-based, individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and supporting trauma recovery.
\n
• Implementing therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) within individual and group settings.

• Facilitating engaging group therapy sessions to help participants share experiences and develop coping strategies in a supportive environment.

• Close collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive care for all patients.

• Delivering crisis intervention services as necessary to support patients dealing with immediate trauma-related concerns.

• Enhancing patient education by providing resources and guidance on trauma responses and coping mechanisms.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participating actively in case consultations and continuing education opportunities to stay informed on best practices in the field of trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with patients who have experienced a variety of traumas, from personal losses to complex histories that may include abuse or neglect. Qualifications\n

To excel in this position, candidates should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• At least 2 years of post-license experience in a relevant clinical setting.

• A profound understanding of trauma-informed care models and evidence-based treatment methodologies related to trauma recovery.
