Meriwether Godsey está buscando un chef ejecutivo responsable de liderar y administrar un programa de producción de alimentos de alto volumen, así como eventos especiales y catering de alto nivel para el programa de comidas en una escuela diurna privada en el noroeste de Washington, DC. Nuestro candidato ideal tiene fuertes habilidades culinarias y de gestión, una visión de excelencia en la comida de la escuela primaria, así como una pasión y un compromiso demostrado para promover la diversidad.
Qué harás:
Comunicarse diariamente con el personal de producción sobre todas las actividades de producción de alimentos.
Comprar alimentos orgánicos y producidos localmente, siempre que sea posible, y trabajar junto con el personal de producción para incorporar estos productos en las ofertas de recetas y menús a diario.
Supervisar el desarrollo, la compra y la producción del menú, incorporando las últimas tendencias y prácticas.
Asegurarse de que se alcancen, mantengan y registren las temperaturas adecuadas de los alimentos; asegurar que se mantengan registros diarios del uso de alimentos y la organización de las áreas de almacenamiento/enfriamiento, y otras regulaciones de cumplimiento.
Predicar con el ejemplo; involucrar y desarrollar informes directos y miembros del equipo a través del apoyo, monitoreo, entrenamiento y retroalimentación continuos.
Establecer y mantener relaciones sólidas con los proveedores mientras investiga las variaciones de precios.
Implementar y mantener los estándares HACCP.
Mantener relaciones efectivas con el cliente y centradas en el cliente.
Ofrecer servicios de catering de alta gama.
Asistir en las fases internas de planificación financiera, análisis de presupuesto/costos e informes para establecer, monitorear y lograr objetivos operativos y financieros
Qué necesitas:
Título de asociado o cinco o más años de experiencia relacionada con el servicio de alimentos.
Más de 5 años de experiencia en operaciones de servicio de alimentos por contrato, gestión de catering de alto nivel, comidas de alto volumen y experiencia en unidades múltiples.
Debe proporcionar prueba de vacunación Covid-19. Exenciones disponibles previa solicitud.
Aplicación y promoción de las tendencias alimentarias actuales.
Dominio y creciente conocimiento de prácticas sostenibles.
Estilo de gestión participativa y excelentes habilidades de liderazgo.
Experiencia demostrada cultivando talento y promoviendo un ambiente de trabajo inclusivo.
Fuertes habilidades de comunicación y presentación.
Habilidades de gestión de cuentas y proyectos.
Conocimiento de seguridad alimentaria (HACCP), saneamiento y normas generales de seguridad en el lugar de trabajo.
Capacidad para trabajar en un entorno de equipo colaborativo mientras se fomentan relaciones sólidas con clientes.
Se prefiere la certificación de gerente de protección de alimentos ServSafe®.
