Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and evaluate clients' social, emotional, and environmental challenges. For instance, you will engage clients in discussions to understand their life circumstances, mental health status, and support systems.

• Develop individualized service plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client, implementing interventions and regularly monitoring progress.

• Provide counseling and therapeutic support to individuals and families, utilizing evidence-based techniques that foster healing and resilience.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized service plans that link them with community resources such as housing, healthcare, and educational opportunities.

• Offer crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and safety planning to ensure the well-being of those in immediate distress.

• Engage in partnerships with local community agencies to coordinate multilayered support services and advocate for your clients’ rights and needs.

• Lead community outreach efforts to raise awareness of available services, conducting workshops or informational sessions as deemed appropriate.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training sessions to enhance knowledge and professional development.

This role primarily focuses on vulnerable populations experiencing significant challenges, including mental health issues, socioeconomic instability, and trauma. You will engage with diverse individuals and families from various backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care that respects each client's unique experiences and values.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong understanding of principles associated with social and economic justice, providing a lens through which to view client challenges.

• Competence in trauma-informed care approaches to ensure protection and respect for clients’ past experiences.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by cultural competence to connect with a diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n
